During World War 2 the city and the region played a major role in the opening phase of the pacific war. Townsville was transformed into the biggest Air Force base in Australia and was a massive logistic hub. During this interesting tour, we provide you with a complete overview of the city’s military heritage from the Boer war, WW1, Vietnam through to more recent conflicts, such as Afghanistan.
